Sukma 2024: Sarawak squash team wins 1 gold, 1 bronze medals in mixed doubles category

KUCHING, Aug 19: The Sarawak squash team won gold and bronze medals in the mixed doubles category in Malaysia Games (Sukma) 2024.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, Natalie Shu Eng Sim and Harith Danial Jefri won the gold medal by besting Andrik Lim Kai Shan And Thanusaa Uthrian from Melaka in a three-set match (11-9, 8-11, 11-9).

Meanwhile, Sarawak’s Altamis Aqhar Sallam A Sufian and Eugenia David earned a bronze medal after a challenging match against Tristan Andreas Muyou Angkaus and Douce Lee Ye San from Sabah.

The pair also took three sets to beat team Sabah by winning 11-6 in the first set, followed by a tough second set which saw them conceded 10-11, and later regain back their momentum in the third set by winning 11-6. — DayakDaily
