KUCHING, Aug 19: Sarawak won its first medal in the Sukma 2024 cycling event, with Aimy Nazurah Rais bringing home silver in the Women’s BMX category.
Aimy clocked in a time of 43.944 minutes but was 1.46 minutes slower to win the gold, which was secured by Nur Adriana Sofea Abdul Hakim of Negeri Sembilan, who clocked in 42.485 minutes.
Meanwhile, the bronze medal went to Sabah’s Farisha Nur Umairah Zairi, who clocked 44.761 minutes.
Sukma 2024 cycling events are dominated by Terengganu, who, by the time of reporting, has obtained nine medals—five gold, one silver, and three bronze. — DayakDaily
