KUCHING, Aug 21: Sarawak diver Nurul Farisya Alia Affendi delivered another gold for Sarawak in the women’s 10m platform at the 21st Malaysia Games (Sukma) today.
The 15-year-old collected a total of 241.90 points during the event which took place at Pandelela Rinong Aquatics Centre, Petra Jaya here.
The silver medal went to Federal Territories’ Lee Yiat Qing (241.10 points) while another Sarawak athlete Nur Eilisha Rania Muhammad Abrar Raj (231.45 points) bagged the bronze.
This is Farisya’s second gold medal of the games after she won the women’s synchronised 10m platform event alongside Eilisha last Monday (Aug 19).
Meanwhile, another compatriot Muhammad Lutfir Rahman Mohammad Razak won a silver medal in the men’s 1m springboard event.
The gold medal went to Federal Territories’ Nurqayyum Nazmi Mohamad Nazim while the bronze was secured by Terengganu’s Muhammad Haris Mohd Rezal.
The latest medal collection has brought Sarawak’s total count in diving sport to stand at six gold, one silver and one bronze, as of today. — DayakDaily
