SugarBun celebrates 40th anniversary with RM5 Celebratory Meal

KUCHING, April 29: Sarawak’s homegrown franchise, SugarBun, launched its 40th anniversary celebration today with a Celebratory Meal promotion across all participating SugarBun outlets in the country.

The meal includes SugarBun’s Hero products, a one-piece Broasted Chicken and one serving of Savoury Rice for RM5 and another RM1 add-on for a soft drink.

The campaign runs from today till the end of next month.


As part of the campaign, SugarBun also released an article titled ‘SugarBun: The Sweet & Savoury Sarawak Success Story’ in the recently published Free Community Magazine Happenings in Sarawak.

The article shares historical facts about SugarBun and also its future plans.

“Reaching 40 years is a great accomplishment for SugarBun, and we want to share our happiness over a meal with all our customers. We also take the opportunity to create awareness among the younger generation on the history and facts about SugarBun” said a representative of SB Supplies & Logistic Sdn Bhd, franchisor of SugarBun, in a statement today.

“From the simple days of being an ice cream parlour at Kenyalang Park to being the first Malaysian Fast Food Restaurant and to date having franchised over 94 outlets in Malaysia, Brunei, Bangladesh and coming soon, Jakarta, Indonesia, SugarBun still remains true to its foundation, which is to provide locally produced, high-quality products for our customers,” added the SugarBun representative.
