BETONG, March 23: Sudden flash flood up to almost five feet high in Nanga Tebat have caused devastating damages to seven vehicles early this morning.
Responding to the call for help, firefighters from Betong station took the 37km journey to Rh Nanga Tebat and SK Nanga Tebat, Skrang at 5.50am.
Upon arrival, they found the road access to the longhouse and school was inundated with flood water up to 10 feet high as it was located at low laying area.
The flood water began to recede at 7.30am.
There are 95 villagers staying in the 23 doors longhouse while the primary school consists of 34 students and 17 teachers including administrative staff. — DayakDaily
