KUCHING, Aug 15: With its expansive and fertile land ideally suited for agricultural development, Sarawak presents a multitude of compelling opportunities for Singaporean investors seeking to diversify their portfolios.
Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office (Statos) chairman Tan Sri Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani empasised the pivotal roles that tourism and trade play in captivating prospective investors.
“The Sarawak government is dedicated to allocating substantial tracts of land to facilitate robust agricultural expansion.
“Furthermore, the agricultural products produced in Sarawak can also be exported to Singapore, thereby fostering mutually beneficial trade relations,” he told Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today.
Morshidi highlighted this after leading a delegation from Statos to pay a courtesy visit on Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at the latter’s office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia today.
Statos chief executive officer (CEO) Chew Chang Guan and Development Bank of Sarawak (DBOS) CEO Datu Laura Lee were also present. — DayakDaily
