KUCHING, Oct 24: A 19-year-old state athlete was found dead in his house at Tabuan Laru today.
According to Kuching district police chief CP Awang Din Awang Gani, they received a phone call from his distressed mother after she found her son’s body in the living room.
The mother also called for an ambulance and upon arrival, the athlete was pronounced dead by the medical team from Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).
The deceased had represented Sarawak in the Malaysia Games (SUKMA) in 2018 and had recently returned home from training in Singapore.
His body was brought to SGH for further action and a police report was lodged for further investigation. — DayakDaily
