KUCHING, Aug 11: St Faith’s Church kindergarten will be organising a charity run around the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) compound on Oct 14.
According to a media release, the kindergarten which was established on April 29, 1989, has been collecting only schooling fees at a minimum rate to reduce the financial burden of local community.
To cater to the kindergarten’s operational and maintenance costs, the kindergarten will hold the charity run to raise funds for the cause.
“The organisers would like to invite the public, especially alumni and church members to participate in this event in an effort to help St Faith Kindergarten in providing a more conducive learning environment for young children.
“At the same time, the organisers also request the private and public sectors to support this event by sponsoring the event’s expenditure, sponsoring goods and services for a lucky draw or sponsoring their staff to join the event,” it said.
Additionally, the organisers have expressed gratitude to MBKS mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng for providing the venue for the event, JobStock founder Ryan Jee for contributing voluntary workforce, City Jogger Club on marshal assistance, and Metanerds Sdn Bhd for event management assistance.
