KUCHING, April 3: Under the Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA), 25 projects will be implemented this year.
SADA chairman Dato Sri Rohani Abdul Karim said the projects include roads, bridges, drainage and irrigation systems, and activities to promote economic and social development.
Some of the listed projects are the Kejamut flood mitigation project, the upgrading of Jalan Guntong-Menalang, the bridge construction at Kampung Beleti, the orang-utan observatory in Batang Ai and the upgrading of the Sarawak Skills Development Centre (PPKS).
Meanwhile, to ensure the smooth progress of the renovation works at PPKS Sri Aman, Rohani said another RM2 million was allocated to the initial RM1.5 million funding.
“This will ensure that the renovation works run smoothly, and it will be the first project managed by SADA,” she said, according to a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today.
Also present at the SADA steering committee meeting were SADA deputy chairman Datuk Amar Jaul Samion, Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Snowdan Lawan, Lingga assemblywoman Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor, Sri Aman MP Dato Sri Doris Sophia Brodie, and SADA special administrative officer Datu Indit Bangai. — DayakDaily
