KUCHING, June 14: A sports item premise located in a shopping mall at Mile 4, Penrissen Road caught fire on Sunday morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) was alerted at 7.03 am and a team was deployed to the scene immediately.
According to the report, the fire razed 15 per cent of the shop at the counter.
Firefighters had forcefully opened the entrance to the shop to contain the fire, which was completely put out at 7.39 am.
None of the other premises in the mall are affected by the fire.
The losses incurred due to the fire have yet to be ascertained and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.-DayakDaily
