“It has already been dissolved, but it has not been announced because it is waiting for the right time.

“During the ‘Unity Dinner’ in Sibu on April 6, an official announcement will be made,” said the source.

According to sources, the Unity Dinner was organised to welcome PSB members to the Progressive Democratic Party (PDP).

PSB, led by president Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh, is said to be bringing 80,000 of its members to form a new entity with PDP, a party in Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).

On July 13 last year, PSB, which is also the Opposition party which won three seats in the 12th State Election (PRN12) in 2021, announced its support for the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

PDP in PRN12 won in five constituencies in Tasik Biru through Dato Henry Harry Jinep, Krian (Friday Belik), Meluan (Roland Duat), Dudong (Tiong), and Marudi (Datuk Pengguang Manggil).

At the parliamentary level, PDP is represented by Tiong (Bintulu) and Baram (Dato Anyi Ngau).

PSB won in Engkilili through Dr Johnicol Rayong, Ba’kelalan (Baru Bian), Bawang Assan (Soon Koh), and Batu Lintang (See Chee How).

However, in August 2022, See announced his exit from PSB and became an independent assemblyman. — DayakDaily
