KUCHING, June 17: A united and solid Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) means a stronger and more effective Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), says PBB political veteran Dato Peter Minos.
He said GPS would continue to soar ahead following the coalition’s landslide victory of winning 76 out of 82 seats in the 12th Sarawak Election (PRN12) last December.
“This explains why SUPP (Sarawak United Peoples’ Party), PRS (Parti Rakyat Sarawak), and PDP (Progressive Democratic Party) attend the official opening of the PBB convention in full force and are pleased and happy doing so.
“It looks like Sarawak politics is rock solid because PBB, SUPP, PRS, and PDP have shown real unity and solidarity in GPS, and it will be so to last,” he said, applauding the excellent unity among the four component parties.
Minos, who is also Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) chairman, said PBB, as a party that practices good unity and exemplary leadership, is the true backbone of GPS.
“And this is why it (PBB) has become a responsible and capable leader in GPS, always being reasonable to its GPS partners and respecting the culture of fairness and justice.
“A solid PBB is a solid GPS, and this is a big blessing to Sarawak with a good shining future,” he said in a statement today.
Meanwhile, Minos also said it is evident that Sarawak, under the GPS-led Sarawak government, is well looked after and in safe, responsible, and capable hands.
He said GPS ensures that Sarawak’s rights and powers be defended while Sarawak sees a bright and shining future in the years ahead in all fields of endeavours.
The PBB triennial general meeting (TGM) or PBB Convention will take place today until June 19. — DayakDaily
