KUCHING, Sept 23: A soldier died when he was shot by a civilian who was hunting.

According to a TVS report today, Sarawak Police Commissioner Dato Mancha Ata said at the time of the incident, the victim was undergoing training in the forest area of ​​Batu 5, Jalan Balak Multiplus, Song.

Mancha added that the Song police station received a report of the incident at 5.57am.

“We were informed that a soldier who was undergoing training was shot by a civilian who was hunting in the area,” he said when contacted by TVS.

The victim was taken to Kapit Hospital but was confirmed dead at 7.43am, and the case is under investigation. — DayakDaily
