KUCHING, Jan 3: Social events such as weddings, engagements, thanksgiving prayers, tahlil, anniversary celebrations, birthday celebrations, reunions, and retreats have been allowed under Phase 4 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) in Sarawak starting today.

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in the latest standard operating procedures (SOP) for Phase 4 of the NRP for Sarawak, said the organising of such activities is subject to a maximum crowd of 350 people or 50 per cent of the capacity of the premises at any one time.

SDMC said the organisers are responsible for ensuring that the invitation follows the health protocol currently in force.

The organisers are also responsible for ensuring that only fully vaccinated individuals are allowed to attend the event.

Participants are encouraged to undergo self-testing for Covid-19 before attending any social events.
