KUCHING, 20 July: It was all in a day’s work for firefighters from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) when they managed to catch a two-metre long venomous snake this morning.
The reptile was lurking in the generator room of Dewan Kalong Ningkan in Betong.
The Bomba team was deployed to the scene after the incident was reported at 11.35 am.
According to a statement from the State Bomba Operation Centre, the snake was identified as the Malayan Krait species.
The firefighters managed to catch the snake by using their tools and later released it to the natural habitat.
The Bomba subsequently returned to their station. -DayakDaily
