SIBU, July 20: Sibu Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) head DSP Undi Dian has been promoted to the deputy of Sarawak CCID (Corporate and Finance Section).

Undi will be assisting his chief Supt Maria Rasid.

Meanwhile, ASP Dayang Tantysera Abang Ibrahim will take over Undi’s previous position.

A hand over of duties was held here today, witnessed by Sibu deputy OCPD, Supt Collin Babat and other officers.

In his farewell speech, DSP Undi revealed he had led Sibu CCID since July 16, 2010.

“I had served under five district police chiefs and five deputy police chiefs since my 10-year tenure here. So I think it’s time for me to go also,” he added.

Undi pledged to do his best in his new position.

Collin expressed confidence that Undi would do well in his new position. He described Undi as a hardworking and humble person.

“The new position suits him as he has been with the same department. It is interesting and the new position carries a heavy responsibility as the department also covers 38 district police stations throughout the state,” he said.

Supt Collin also believed that Dayang Tantysera is well able to meet the demands of her new responsibilities with her many years in the force. — DayakDaily
