SMK Baru Miri students’ pick-up zone officially opens

MIRI, May 24: SMK Baru Miri now has a student pick-up zone, and this RM500,000 project is funded by the state government under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP).

Assistant Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Lee Kim Shin declared open this 120m-long facility today.

For example, the state government would help provide needed facilities to create a conducive learning environment.

Lee also mentioned the RM1 billion loan offered by the state government to Putrajaya to repair dilapidated schools.

“We have about 400 dilapidated schools that are urgently in need of repair. Compared to schools in Peninsular Malaysia, ours are very far behind in terms of facilities,” he lamented. — DayakDaily
