Small hut in Kota Sentosa gutted by fire

The wooden hut that was completely destroyed in the afternoon fire at 7th Mile, Kota Sentosa.

KUCHING, Nov 23: A small wooden hut located in Liu Shan Bang road at 7th Mile, Kota Sentosa, was completely destroyed in a fire incident today.

Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre, in a statement, said they received an emergency call regarding the incident from Malaysia Emergency Response Services 999 (MERS 999) at 2.30 pm.

“Operation commander TPgB Raffy Saibi reported that a wooden hut, which is located just outside of the Penrissen army camp in Kota Sentosa, was razed in a fire,” it said.

A firefighter is seen doing an overhaul operation while the others are spraying the remaining ember from the flame.

The statement also noted no casualties were reported during the incident and firefighters later proceeded to put out the remaining flame, including carrying out an overhaul operation.

A total of nine firefighters from Bomba Batu Lintang, led by PBK II Law Kim Hin were deployed to the location, together with one unit of Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) and Bomba’s EMRS. — DayakDaily
