KUCHING, May 12: A new cluster has formed following a get-together involving three families at the Singgahsana Lodge in Kuching.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today said the cluster which has been dubbed the Singgahsana Lodge Cluster involved three families holidaying at the hotel.
A total of 66 individuals have been screened for Covid-19 after the index case was confirmed positive for Covid-19.
Of the 66 individuals tested, 14 have received their test results and all of them including the index case, tested positive for Covid-19.
The remaining 52 individuals are awaiting test results.
So far, this is the first holiday cluster arising from families spending time together at a hotel to be detected. — DayakDaily
