SIBU, July 15: The whole of Sibu will experience low water pressure, and some areas are likely to experience water supply disruption starting at 10pm on July 17 (Wednesday).

Sibu Water Board (SWB) said this was due to the replacement of the Auto Change Over Switch and modification work for the Main Switch Board at the Raw Water Intake in Jalan Kong Yit Khim.

The water supply interruption will occur from 10 pm until work is completed.

“The works are estimated to take three to four hours,” it said today.

LAS also advised users to save enough water for their needs throughout the duration of the water supply interruption.

“We will try to complete the work as soon as possible, and the water supply will be recovered gradually in the affected area.

“If the clean water reservoir level at the Salim Water Treatment Plant is too low, work will be carried out the next day or on a later date.” — DayakDaily
