SIBU, May 1: Police are on the hunt for suspects involved in breaking into a house and carting away a safe deposit box containing money of various currencies, jewellery, and a luxury watch amounting to RM736,000.

Sibu district police chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili said at 11pm on April 28, the 74-year-old complainant went to his son’s house at Jalan Tuah when he saw the back door ajar.

“When he went to the master bedroom, he saw his son’s safe deposit box missing,” he added.

“His son and wife had flown to England on April 23 to attend their son’s graduation ceremony.

“The complainant went to the house to switch off the lights he had on the night before,” he said. — DayakDaily
