Sibu man unconscious after falling while collecting salted fish from roof

SIBU, Feb 9: A 51-year-old man was rushed to the hospital in an unconscious state after falling from the first floor of a building in Pekan Sungai Merah here today.

According to Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received the call regarding the incident at 5.56pm and 11 firefighters from Bomba Sungai Merah led by PBK Joseph Balon were despatched to the location.

“Upon arrival, firefighters found that a man was lying on the ground unconscious after falling from the first floor of the building.”


It is thought the incident occurred as the man was trying to collect salted fish that was drying on the awning of his residence.

The victim was later taken to the hospital using a Health Ministry medical ambulance. — DayakDaily
