SIBU, Aug 7: A 48-year-old man was arrested for threatening to kill his ex-wife after she left him for another man.
Sibu district police chief, ACP Zulkipli Suhaili, said the police received a report lodged by the 35-year-old woman on Aug 4.
“The woman claimed that at about 7.30pm on Monday (Aug 1), the suspect came looking for her at her rented room at Jalan Teng Kung Suk,” he said.
In a fit of anger, the suspect kicked the door until it opened.
“The suspect, armed with a knife, threatened to kill her. A struggle between both ensued, resulting in the woman sustaining injuries on her hand and back,” he said.
The suspect was arrested after the victim filed a police report.
The case is being investigated under Sections 324 and 506 of the Penal Code. — DayakDaily
