SIBU, Aug 5: Firefighters managed to persuade a 22-year-old man to get down from a bridge near Jalan Khoo Peng Loong here, last night (Aug 4).
According to a report by Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received a distress call about the man around 10.22pm before deploying a team of firefighters from Sibu Central Fire Station to the scene.
Upon arrival, they saw the man standing atop the high structure.
After about three hours, the police and Bomba managed to persuade the man to get down safely.
