Siblings rescued from Taman Tumbina

KUCHING, July 19: Firefighters came to the rescue after two siblings got lost at Taman Tumbina, Bintulu earlier this evening.

The two siblings aged 23 and 16 respectively had contacted the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) at 5.49pm for help and a team was subsequently deployed to the scene.


According to a statement from the state Bomba operations centre, the operation commander had requested the two siblings to share their location using a smartphone application. At 6.44pm, the firefighters together with the police managed to locate the two siblings.

One of them had minor injuries to her ankle. Both of the siblings were safely taken out from the park. — DayakDaily
