KUCHING, Jan 3: Former Miri Resident Sherrina Hussaini has been appointed the new Kuching Resident, succeeding Ismail Mohamad Hanis — who has been transferred to the Human Resources Unit of the Chief Minister’s Department.
Sherrina assumed her new role yesterday (Jan 2) following the handing-over of duty at the Kuching Resident’s Office.
The simple ceremony was held in the presence of new Kuching District Officer Awang Yusup Awang Mostapha, who also reported for duty yesterday, replacing Ibrahim Kipli.
Lundu District Officer Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan, Kuching Division Malay Temenggong Datuk Helmi Mohd Gol, Bidayuh Temenggong Austin Dimin Nyion and staff of the Kuching Resident’s Office and District Office were present at the event.
Sherrina was Miri Resident for 18 months. Meanwhile, former Serian Resident Mastapa Julaihi replaced Sherrina in Miri. — DayakDaily
