Sarawak X-Tive launches simultaneously statewide

KUCHING, March 5: Statewide sporting event Sarawak X-Tive was launch simultaneously today as part of the government’s efforts to promote sports value, well-being, and unity among the community.

Kuching Resident Datu Sherrina Hussaini, who is representing Tupong assemblyman, Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman, said the State level ceremony was launched by the Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Datuk Patinggi Ali Hall, in Gedong.

“Through the programme, the government wants to provide opportunities to all Sarawakians to be involved in sports activities and subsequently create a healthy society, physically and mentally,” she said during the launch ceremony of Sarawak X-Tive in Kuching, held at Le Park Civic Centre, today.


Sherrina noted that the programme would also help to create a productive and competitive society.

Sarawak X-Tive Kuching Level program is organised by the State government through the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development in collaboration with the Sarawak X-tive Committee, Kuching Division.

Silat practitioners demonstrate their skills at the launch of the Sarawak X-Tive programme in Kuching.

Among the activities planned for the programme are aerobics, basic cycling workshops and Le’Park Cycling sports clinic for cycling enthusiasts (MTB, road bike, folding bike), including creative martial arts competitions and performances involving 170 participants from all over Kuching.

This include a MTB Fun Race, four-wheel drive remote control car show (RC Crawler), nature walk with special children and an inspirational talk. — DayakDaily
