KUCHING, July 3: The Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association (Sheda) Kuching Branch presented lunch treats and face masks to the residents of the Sarawak Hun Nam Siang Tng’s old folks home today.
Present during the visit was Sheda Kuching branch chairman Dato Sim Kiang Chiok, treasurer Alan Wong and Premier Food Republic representative Sim.
Also present were the vice chairmen of the old folks home namely, Chung Miang Poh, Kok Hin Kai and Tay Swee Hock as well as assistant secretary-general Lai Keau Moi.
Sim, in a statement today, said he was glad to note that all the senior citizens and staff at the old folks home have completed two doses of Covid-19 vaccines.
“Therefore, we are very grateful of the government for providing the vaccine early for the elderly to be protected from the Covid-19 virus.
“The elderly residents are all doing very well at this Home and I also commend the executive committee and management of the Home for doing a great work in keeping everyone safe and healthy,” he said.
Previously, Sheda Kuching Branch has conducted the “Sharing is Caring” Free Packed Lunch campaign from June 18 to 28 in collaboration with Premier Food Republic and Mom’s Laksa.
During the campaign, over 4,300 lunch sets were given out to members of the public in efforts to provide readily available food to those who are affected during the Movement Control Order (MCO).
“Sheda Kuching Branch would like to thank all the sponsors who have contributed to making the campaign a huge success.
“Following the end of the campaign, we continued our contributions to the elders in this old folks home,” he said. — DayakDaily
