KUCHING, Aug 17: A man was sentenced to 16 years in jail and 12 strokes of the cane for 14 charges of molesting five young boys and inducing them to watch pornographic videos by offering to let them play a mobile game.
Alladin Lanim, 41, pleaded guilty to all 14 charges at three different Sessions Courts.
He was charged with using the pretext of offering to let the victim to play a popular mobile game on his phone with the intention to facilitate the commission of an offence under Section 14 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, by sexually assaulting the underage victims and causing them to watch pornographic videos on his phone.
The offences were committed at a plantation quarters in Lundu and at a home porch in Lundu, between 2018 and April 2021.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Nurfadzlin Mahmad Zulhasnan prosecuted while the accused was unrepresented by counsel. — DayakDaily
