KUCHING, Nov 18: Police issued seven compounds in Sarawak for violating the standard operating procedures (SOP) in the past 24 hours.
State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in a statement today, revealed that four were issued in Miri, and one each in Sarikei, Betong and Simunjan.
On roadblocks operation mounted in Kuching district following the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), a total of 12 vehicles had been ordered to turn back today (Nov 18).
A total of 7,585 vehicles have been checked during CMCO in Kuching district today.
The cumulative number of vehicles inspected was 67,373. Of the number, 191 vehicles had been ordered to turn back since Nov 9.
Meanwhile, the Local Government and Housing Ministry also issued 131 oral, written and seizure notices under Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) (43), Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) (31), Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) (22), MD Marudi (17), Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) (9), MD Serian (4), MDMJ (3), MB Miri (1) and MD Sarikei (1).
Compliance checks were also carried out on 1,429 premises throughout Sarawak involving 179 supermarkets, restaurants (285), factories (11), banks (110), government offices (38), hawkers (34), markets (52), houses of worship (38), recreational areas (32), construction sites (19) and others (631). —DayakDaily
