KUCHING, June 23: A total of 52 outstanding students who scored well in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2022 examination from four secondary schools in Serian parliamentary constituency have been given special incentives.
According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit, Serian MP Dato Sri Richard Riot Jaem gave away the incentives totaling RM15,000 yesterday (June 22) to these students who obtained outstanding results of 5As and above.
One student, who obtained 9As, took home RM600 while five others who managed to get 8As were awarded RM500 each.
The seven students with 7As bagged RM400 each and 13 with 6As were presented with RM300 respectively, while the remaining 26 students who achieved 5As were given RM200 each.
Riot in his speech expressed pride because the performance achieved in SPM 2022 was better than the previous year.
Also present were Serian District Education Officer Bunsie Tuntong and other invited guests. — DayakDaily
