KUCHING, June 16: Two senior citizens were injured in a fire at Jalan Jugan Buso, Bau this afternoon.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) were alerted at 3.46pm and a team was despatched to the scene immediately.
Upon arrival, the firefighters immediately began to douse the flames.
According to the Bomba report, the victims’ house and a motorcycle were damaged by the fire.
The male victim was injured on his arm while the female victim had burns on her head. Both received immediate treatment and were sent to Bau Hospital for further treatment.
The fire was brought under control at 4.06pm and the operation ended at 5.02pm.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and the losses due to the fire are still unknown. — DayakDaily
