Senior citizen killed in Senadin after motorcycle rear-ended by car

MIRI, Oct 30: A rear-end collision this morning along Jalan Ilmu in Senadin has claimed the life of a 68-year-old motorcyclist.

The man died on the spot due to serious head and body injuries sustained following the 9am incident. The body was later taken to Miri Hospital morgue.


According to Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, the rider has been identified as Lau Ka Kiong.

Meanwhile, the car driver escaped unharmed.

Prior to the incident, both vehicles were heading towards Tudan from Senadin, when the 42-year-old male driver lost control of his car and subsequently hit the motorcycle.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
