KUCHING, Mar 16: The Semop Health Clinic and quarters are currently under construction on Bruit Island (Pulau Bruit) in Daro.
According to a news report published by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), Malaysian Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa stated that the construction is expected to be completed in April 2023.
“This Semop Health Clinic will improve Pulau Bruit residents’ access to health services,” she said in a written response to Tanjong Manis MP Yusf Abd Wahab’s question in the Dewan Rakyat in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday (Mar 14).
Dr Zaliha further explained that the Malaysian Ministry of Health (MOH) implemented enhancements to existing health facilities.
“In 2021, general repair and upgrade work at Paloh Health Clinic, as well as upgrading of staff residences at Tekajong Health Clinic have been completed.
“MOH will continue to monitor its health facilities and implement improvements, subject to government allocations,” she added. — DayakDaily
