Selangor Sultan arrives in Bintulu today, to grace UPM Bintulu Campus convocation tomorrow (Nov 1)

BINTULU, Oct 31: Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has arrived at Bintulu Airport for a working visit here today.

According to a report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), his arrival was welcomed by Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar.

Also present were Sarawak Food Industries, Commodities and Regional Development Minister Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom; Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability Dr Hazland Abang Hipni; Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Port Development, Dato Majang Renggi and Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki.


Sultan Sharafuddin is scheduled to attend a State Banquet hosted by Parkcity Everly Hotel tonight.

Expected to attend the dinner are Sarawak Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Tomorrow, Sultan Sharafuddin will visit Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB) to attend the University’s 46th Convocation Ceremony.

He will depart home to Selangor in the evening. — DayakDaily
