SEDC Energy teams up with Malaysia Rating Corporation Berhad for Borneo Energy Transition Conference 2024 on Feb 26-27

KUCHING, Feb 6: SEDC Energy, Sarawak’s leading new energy agency, today announced their collaboration with Malaysia Rating Corporation Berhad (MARC) for the Borneo Energy Transition Conference (BETC) 2024.

According to a press release, the conference, which will be held in Kuching from Feb 26 to 27, will be a watershed moment, bringing together visionary thought leaders, change-makers, and industry experts to collectively explore ideas and catalyse decisive action towards shaping the region’s sustainable energy landscape.

“In a significant development, SEDC Energy chief executive officer Robert Hardin and MARC group chief executive officer Datuk Jamaludin Nasir paid a courtesy visit earlier today to Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.


“This visit underscores the strategic importance of collaboration and its potential impact on the energy sector in the region,” read the press release.

SEDC Energy chief operating officer Foo Kim Leong, SEDC Energy corporate communications manager Dennis Harun Wong, and MARC chief commercial officer Badrul Hisham Zawawi attended the briefing, demonstrating their commitment to the conference’s success.

Robert said: “We are proud to have MARC as our strategic partner for this conference. Their support will help build our reputation as a new energy player in the region, also putting Sarawak on the map.”
