MIRI, July 23: A tragic accident occurred early Tuesday morning at Jalan Lambir, resulting in the death of a secondary school student and serious injuries to his friend.
The collision happened as the two students, riding a motorcycle, were on their way to SMK Riam.
The impact was severe enough to kill one of the students instantly, while his friend sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Miri Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the car involved in the collision was unharmed.
Police have been notified and are currently investigating the incident, while the body of the deceased has been taken to the Miri Hospital morgue.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims, and the exact cause of the collision remains undetermined as the investigation continues. — DayakDaily
