“His family became concerned after he failed to return home, unlike previous occasions when he went missing but came back after two days,” he said.

At the time of his disappearance, Kedri was wearing a black collared T-shirt, and black tracksuit pants, and was using a walking stick due to gout and knee pain.

The Sungai Merah Fire Station was alerted about the case by Sibujaya Police Station’s Sergeant Zamaili on Nov 18, at 1pm.

A search operation commenced shortly after, involving multiple agencies and local villagers.

The search area was divided into three sectors, focusing on locations Kedri is known to frequent, with a search radius of 4 kilometres (km) from his home.

At 5.30pm, the search was temporarily suspended due to safety concerns and will resume at 9am tomorrow.

The public is urged to contact the authorities if they have any information about Kedri’s whereabouts. — DayakDaily
