KUCHING, May 7: Sarawakian Nur Durratul Iffah Yazit secured a bronze medal in the women’s single category in pétanque at the Cambodia 2023 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games today.
The Santubong-born girl who represented the national team, beat Cambodia’s Un Sreya by 7-6, to move into the semi-final.
She, however, had to end her journey after being defeated by Vietnam’s Thi Hong Thoa Thai in the semi-final with 8-13.
In the end, the gold medal was won by Thailand’s Sirion Sarachip who beat the Vietnamese athlete by 13-2 in the final. — DayakDaily
