KUCHING, April 14: The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has never appointed any agents to assist in the application to enter Sarawak through the enterSarawak app.

SDMC thus warned that strict action will be taken against those who claimed to be an employee or member of the Committee and able to process and approve the application for people to enter Sarawak.

Meanwhile, in its daily report on the Covid-19 situation in Sarawak today, SDMC also reminded the community that it is compulsory to inform the nearest District Offices of all social events or activities that would involve gatherings of people such as funerals, weddings and related activities before they can be organised.

The District Office has been instructed to get assistance from security teams to ensure compliance of standard operating procedures (SOP) at the events.

SDMC warned that legal action will be taken against those who fail to adhere to the SOPs.

Meanwhile, a total of 75 longhouses in Sarawak are still under lockdown as of today out of the 449 longhouses that have been placed under lockdown since January this year.

In addition, the lockdown on 374 longhouses has ended after no Covid-19 positive cases were detected in the past 14 days. — DayakDaily
