SDMC: 86.8 pct of all Sarawakians fully vaccinated against Covid-19

KUCHING, Aug 31: A total of 1,773,015 residents in Sarawak or 86.8 per cent of its population have completed the full vaccination regimen against Covid-19 as of Aug 30, 2021.

According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), this was disclosed by the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) and State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) on Monday (Aug 30).

“Based on the data, 1,847,234 residents in Sarawak or 90.4 per cent have received their first dose of vaccine.


“It was also informed that Sarawak is now the fourth State to record the highest cumulative number of Covid-19 vaccinations in Malaysia,” it said.

Meanwhile, the daily report of National Covid-19 Immunisation Program (PICK) in Sarawak on Monday saw that a total of 3,223 doses were administered, namely 1,150 for the first dose and 2,073 for the second dose. — DayakDaily
