KUCHING, Sept 29: Satok assemblyman Dato Ibrahim Baki presented assistance to fire victims at Kampung Kudei Baru today.
According to a statement, the donations were in the form of food baskets and financial aid.
Ibrahim visited the site of the early morning fire which involved three houses earlier today.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the incident happened around 9.35am and two wooden houses were completely burnt to the ground while the walls of a third house were damaged.
Firefighters from Batu Lintang, Padungan, and Petra Jaya stations carried extinguishing works at the scene after receiving an emergency call and the team managed to prevent the fire from spreading to a fourth house.
The flames were brought under control around 10.50am and the extinguishing operation ended at 11.05am. — DayakDaily
