“As we all know, many of our schools are in urgent need of improvement, and there is a pressing need to enhance rural clinics, road connectivity, and essential services such as internet, electricity, and water supply. There is much to be done,” she said.

She made these remarks during a forum titled “Sarawak’s Path Forward: Examining the 2025 Malaysia Budget” at the 2025 Sarawak Budget Conference held at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) today.

Sharifah Hasidah commended Sarawak’s leadership for its clear vision and commitment to both infrastructure development and public welfare.

“The Sarawak budget empowers us to strengthen every aspect of our initiatives. With strong leadership and a clear direction, our government remains dedicated to the welfare of the people and the continued development of infrastructure across Sarawak,” she added.

Furthermore, she reassured that following the budget announcement, the Sarawak government, particularly the Economic Planning Unit (EPU), has outlined the initiatives introduced by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

“We are working diligently to ensure the smooth implementation of these initiatives. Multiple agencies are collaborating to refine the standard operating procedures, ensuring that all projects are executed on the ground in alignment with the directives of the Premier,” she said. — DayakDaily
