The family, including Nur Farah Kartini’s mother and siblings, are currently staying at the UPSI Guest House, with transportation provided for their convenience.

Nancy said that Nur Farah Kartini’s remains are still at Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor, pending DNA test results.

“I inquired whether the body would be brought to Miri or another location, as we typically collaborate with Rumah Sarawak to facilitate the return of Sarawakian bodies from Peninsular Malaysia.

“However, the family has decided to bury Nur Farah in Pahang, at her sister-in-law’s village,” she explained.

As part of the Ministry of Women, Family, and Community Development’s support, Nancy handed over immediate relief aid of RM300 from the Social Welfare Department and an additional RM3,000 under the Special Assistance Scheme for Victims’ Families (PEKA YKN).

“On behalf of Sarawak, I take the opportunity to say a million thanks to UPSI, especially for helping to comfort the family of the deceased.

“Likewise to all parties who have helped ease the burden of the deceased’s family. May Allah SWT bless your good service. Aamiin,” the minister said. — DayakDaily
