KUCHING, May 10: Sarawakian Kimberly Bong has bagged a gold for Malaysia in the women’s 3 metre springboard event in the Cambodia 2023 Southeast Asian Games in Phnom Penh on Monday.
According to Bernama, in the final which took place at the Morodok Tech National Aquatic Centre, the 20-year-old collected 276.30 points in five dives and beat eight other contestants to be crowned the winner.
Her victory has ascertained Malaysia’s dominance in the women’s 3m springboard event.
Bong entered the limelight after she won silver in the women’s 1m springboard diving event during 2021 Hanoi SEA Games. — DayakDaily
