KUCHING, May 28: People will not be allowed in public places from 10pm to 5am without good reason as Sarawak comes under Movement Control Order (MCO) from May 29 to June 11.
Sarawak government will enforce the seven-hour night curfew beginning at 12.01am of Saturday until 11.59pm of June 11.
As per latest MCO standard operating procedures (SOP), essential services and activities related to essential activities will continue to operate under strict restrictions.
People are allowed to out to get food suply, daily necessities, medication, diet supplements as well as for Covid-19 vaccination and seek treatment from healthcare facilities.
High-risk individuals and children below the age of 12 are not allowed in public places, open areas and crowded areas without good reason.
Official duties can continue to be carried out throughout the MCO period.
However, the ban on inter-state travel will remain except with police permit, while inter-zone travel is only allowed for essential services with police permit. — DayakDaily
