Sarawak, Türkiye to strengthen cooperation in education, health, tech

TURKIYE, Dec 7: A delegation from the Yayasan Sarawak Group of Universities, led by the Sarawak Secretary and deputy chairman of Yayasan Sarawak, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, led an official working visit to Türkiye to strengthen cooperation in the fields of education, health, and technology.

During the visit, the delegation visited the Middle East Technical University in Ankara and received a detailed briefing from the Faculty of Engineering, particularly the Department of Aerospace Engineering, reported by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas).

The delegation also visited Ankara Universitesi for a briefing session with TOMER, the Turkish Language and Education Centre, highlighting the importance of the cultural and language exchange programme.

On the last day of the visit, the delegation visited Hayat Hastanesi and Bursa Uludag Universitesi to attend briefings from the universities’ Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Health on their contributions to developing the Covid-19 vaccine and overall medical innovation.

This visit strengthens academic and research cooperation between Sarawak and Turkiye, paving the way for closer collaboration in various fields. — DayakDaily
