KUCHING, Feb 4: The Sarawak government will receive a hydrogen-powered BMW car, says Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
He said the Germany-based vehicle manufacturer had produced BMW iX5 Hydrogen models and initially intended to give one unit to Putrajaya.
“However, Putrajaya does not have hydrogen (production or fueling stations).
“Therefore, they will send the model car to Kuching; let the Sarawak government use it,” he said during the closing ceremony of the Land and Survey Department (LANDAS) Summit 2024 at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here last night (Feb 3). — DayakDaily
