KUCHING, March 2: The 33rd Asean Socio-Cultural Community Council (ASCC) Meeting, scheduled to take place from April 20 to 25, 2025 here, will serve as an important platform to strengthen regional ties in tourism, heritage and culture, says Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Dato Sri Tiong King Sing.
In a Facebook post, Tiong shared that he recently paid a courtesy visit to Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg to discuss details on Sarawak hosting the 33rd ASCC Meeting.
“This meeting will be an important platform to strengthen regional ties in tourism, heritage, and culture,” he said.
He also took the opportunity to present the Premier with a replica of the UNESCO Certificate for Niah National Park as a gesture of appreciation.
“This recognition not only celebrates the people of Sarawak but also enhances the State’s tourism appeal on the global stage,” he said. – DayakDaily
