KUCHING, July 13: Sarawak is on course to establish direct flight routes from Miri to Manila in Philippines, says Datuk Dr Jerip Susil.
According to a news report from TV Sarawak (TVS), Dr Jerip said the details are currently being discussed by the Sarawak government with industry players and financial institutions.
“At the moment, the Ministry of Transport Sarawak is discussing the flight routes and there will be a follow up on the matter.
“However, there is a change in the Ministry’s administration involving Dato Wong Hee Siang who is now the Ministry’s permanent secretary and he will look into it,” he told reporters when met at Siburan Community Hall on Friday (July 12).
He added that the Ministry of Transport Sarawak is also working to resume flights from Kuching to Shenzhen, China. — DayakDaily
